Thread: Ubuntu boots to GNU Grub version 2.00-7 Ubuntu 11

i using dual boot windows7/ubuntu 12 , has been working fine in past.

after last reboot when select ubuntu goes black screen shows:

gnu grub version 2.00-7 ubuntu 11

minimal bash-like line editing supported. first word, tab lists possible command completions. anywhere else tab lists possible completions of device/filename1 grub>

if press tab reads:

possible commands are; blocklist boot cat chainloader cmp color configfile debug displaymem embed find fstest geometry halt hide impsprobe initrd install ioprobe kernel lock makeactive map md5crypt module modulenounzip pager partnew parttype password pause read reboot root rootnoverify savedefault serial setkey setup terminal terminfo testload testvbe unhide uppermem uuid vbeprobe grub>

any idea of go here restore ubuntu? having trouble finding answers through google or forum search

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
