Access to AGL (Adobe Glyph List) from plug-in API

in working fonts in pdf, dealing single byte fonts encodings lists of glyph names, 1 might use adobe glpyh list convert between names , unicode. not difficult , list publicly available. however, question is, given agl must inevitably in use in acrobat, there plug-in api have overlooked provides access agl without need plug-in duplicate it? thanks!

i don't recall there being direct access agl, though there pdfont apis give of same information processed against font data.
