Help with People Tab

i'm running pe12 on windows 8.1 box. have large number of photos (20,000+) ~4000 tagged variety of people/groups. when select people tab @ top of application (media *people* places events) no people show , receive message says:

 

no people displayed

try changing settings view menu

 

when go view menu options available are:

full screen

set date range (which set include of photos in catalog)

 

is using pe12 on 8.1 seeing similar behaviour? there obvious missing? fwiw see expected when select media tab.

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
