Thread: Forgot Password That Lets Me Do Everything.

so, i'm ridiculously moronic. haven't needed overall password in quite while, until now. whole os crashed , logged me out. need reset password. i've looked through several threads discussing same problem. but. keep encountering step involves line starts kernel. can't find 1 anywhere. i'm thoroughly freaking out right now.

this appears more of support question wiki topic.
moved absolute beginner section.
i'd happy move elsewhere, if prefer...

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
