Thread: Zebra LP 2844 Printer on Ubuntu 12.10

hi,

i'm using ubuntu 12.10 , i'm trying install zebra printer (zebra lp 2844). installed (it prints documents), however, when try print thing zebra code epl2, printer prints text , don't interpret it. tried use other drivers when change it, printer not print anymore. have idea fix it? thanks.

ps : i'm using ppd : http://andis63.homeftp.net/downloads...d/zebraep2.ppd

years ago windows had similar issues setting our zebra printers in our korean plant. version of windows did not have plain ascii print driver never needed print in korean. need print driver passes thru.

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
