Can't open pdf in windows 7

hi folks, need help. 

 

i got new computer, windows 7, 64bits.  installed adobe reader xi, when tried open pdf file, there system error, can't opened , stopped work.  tried uninstalled , re-installed; installed version x, same issues here. 

 

system showed there "appcrash".  however, can view pdf file via internet, ie , chrome.

 

i didn't installed many programs / software in new computer, office 2007, avg free version, chrome, , kind of chinese hand-writing program.

 

anyone can , advise solutions me please?  all.

uninstall adobe cleaner. it's more thorough.  http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

then reinstall: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
