Thread: Ubuntu 12.10 - Firefox shows blank space where Flash content should be.

i did following try fix; no dice. ideas?

yes, i've got same problem. i'm on oneiric ocelot. flash under firefox has been working fine until several days ago, when black screen appear in flash in youtube box.

1st reinstalled firefox preferences, no luck. reinstalled via flash-aid, , no luck.

flash runs, not on youtube material. firefox gives notice; "additional plugins required view media on page", , pops firefox "plugin finder service" when run, runs endlessly "firefox checking available plugins", (after 10 minutes i've cancelled this).

presently have half-working flash plugin, in firefox. plays (youtube) media , not others.
looking @ removing firefox , reinstalling.

suggestions, gratefully received.
