Thread: Lag in Guild Wars

well im new ubuntu of 48 hours ago, im running 2.6ghz p4 processero on ga-8sg800 motherboard nvidia geforce 6600gt agp8x 1.5gb of ram.

installed ubuntu, realised laggy, love layout, , enjoy ubuntu. im finding hard able run guild wars without serrious lag problem, have tested dosent lag windows xp pro sp3. <snip>

wondering there way driver's uptodate kinda windoes ones? , if have install mobo drivers come on disc (which dont have , drivers gigabyte's website)

, also, if have friendly advice or mods, or programs people willing recomend, or im intrested in linux main os, used 24hours , rebooted hdd play game. lol. in process of putting ubuntu on tonight , leaving way hope can help.

mine runs on 3gb ram, understand installing gnome-fallback make faster. xubuntu doesn't have overhead of unity 12.xx versions have.

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
