Thread: Unable To Print From mtpaint.

hello,

using lubuntu 11.10 on acer aspire 1 netbook, , great pleasure netbook printing weekend, having failed previous linux os's.
, great surprise scan same machine - wirelessly.

but, unable print picture mtpaint. option print in file menu: file>actions>print
nothing happens. doesn't show in print queue.

there way of rectifying this?

appreciated, step-by-step guide if complicated required.

hello,

well, i've managed fix myself after further googling.

need install gtklp, can found in synaptic package manager.

open mtpaint, go file>actions>configure , click on print image.

in command box, replace kprinter %f, with gtklp %f .

and can print picture.

haven't figured out how print reasonably sized picture yet, (a scanned cd cover printed on 4 a4 sheets!) become obvious experimentation.

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
