acrobat 7 prof and windows 8.1

hi all, have used programe years now, , not require updated version - me great job....that until windows 8 updated 8.1 , cannot open programe. reads... unable open application. error (0xc00000fd). had adobe got fix can continue use acrobat 7?

acrobat 7 not supported on windows 8/8.1

hence, recommend update acrobat version.

 

if want view pdf files only, please install adobe reader 11.

 

to download , install, please refer : http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/otherversions/

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
