Thread: fresh install shutdown problem

hello everyone,

small shutdown problem dont know how fix , getting popup window alerting me gsettings daemon not responding, , never forcing me hard shutoff ,,,
specs ubuntu 12.04 32 bit on brand new amd 8 core rig 32 gigs of ram , 1gig xfx ati/amd 8750 installed on 500 gig sata hard drive .,,, suggesttions appreciated again. dont know video driver choose.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex
