could please me i've purchased hp eprint printer. working except whenever go scan document printer shared folder message comes on printer " cannot connect \\computername\sharedfolder\documents. make sure remote computer turned on" showing on gigolo documents on bigdes80-desktop. there settings need apply allow printer scan sharefolder on computer. i'm using ubuntu 12.10

you host name 1 character long samba / smb. can change name network purposes by:

edit smb.conf root:
code:
gksu gedit /etc/samba/smb.conf
add following line under workgroup line in [global] section:

netbios name = bd80-desktop
doesn't have exact name keep @ 15 characters or less in length
restart samba services:
code:
sudo service smbd restart sudo service nmbd restart
every time restart samba network has fit wait 5 minutes before trying connect share.
