Thread: sound and video card issues

hello everyone. im new ubuntu, , ive been looking on forums try figure things out myself, half of seems different language im used windows. since soundcard doesnt seem recognised, video tutorial more confusing. love sound card working , learn how use of tools seem necessary understand , operate system.

current video card working unrecognized - im using radeon hd 4000 series. (i have gone radeon site , downloaded proper linux 64-bit driver) no idea here.

current sound card doesnt show up. no listed linux driver files on m- audio site. using m-audio delta 66, understand have learn jack, or variants use once can recognized.

know ubuntu needs me do, , how it, , @ same time, start understand how works.

again, looking through forums solution, got this

set diferent model delta66 in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base. put "options snd-ice1712 model=delta1010lt"."

did this, , wont let me overwrite file added line. thoughts?

understand ... ati no longer supports older hd4xxx series cards, , 1 has use available (best course anyway, considered) within ubunt's support structure.
let's , see working with;
see graphics card , info; post out put of terminal commands:
