Error message when opening LR5 on my MacBook Pro.

i have installed lr5 on imac reason not installing on macbook pro laptop!!  have tried installing software 3 times.  message appears in grey box whenever try open lr5:

 

"an error occurred when attempting change modules."

 

when click on ok button, window opens telling me "new software lr available , statement 5.3 appears ... ".

 

there 3 buttons @ bottom of window , whichever 1 choose, nothing happens.  appreciate please?

you can d'load lr5.3 version trial here: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_lightroom&loc=en_gb

and install on lr5.0 install.

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
