Thread: Unable to install Ubuntu 13.04 Desktop on new PC

hi all,

have bought new pc hardware in order install ubuntu 13.04 desktop, unable install it.

downloaded new iso "ubuntu-13.04-desktop-i386.iso", burnet on dvd , booted it.

times never passt word "ubuntu" dots scroling underneath it, other times managed passt , clicking on "try ubuntu" desktop after long time.

new motherboard using gigabyte f2a85xm-d3h amd processor, 20gb ssd, 8gb ram, , dual uefi bios.

got tired , installed linuxmint 14 in 10 minutes without problems ever.

1 has experienced issues of kind?

many

uefi requires use 64 bit way
may need use nomodeset boot argument

Creative Cloud - Installation Error 205
