Thread: Copying files over network fails

hello,
have clean install of ubuntu 13.04 on pc. when try copy folders , files on lan pc running windows xp copying process freezes randomly.
copy few kbs , few mbs - random - freezes. tried sorts of folders make sure problem not occur in 1 specific folder. also, have 100 files in folder, mark files on other computer (ctrl+a) , ctril+c , ctrl+v on pc, not files copied! copies 53 files, 89 never files! these files word documents, nothing fancy. problem did not exist on ubuntu 12.10.

please assist.

might helpful know hardware there in machine. i'm bit of noob i'm going try , best can.

should list out hardware on machine.
