How do I fix my issue with serial number on Lightroom 5?

i purchased lightroom 5 best buy late last year , registered product. unable use redemption code listed , gives me invalid error. how still able use product without having repurchase new lightroom 5? when try use serial number retrieval, says not valid code.

can't comment on redemption codes - you'll need talk retailer - what, exactly, error say, , when it?

one thought: did buy upgrade licence without having owned lightroom (in case you'd need full, not upgrade, licence)?
