should appropriate value particular dvd drive in fstab?

deadlytackler;

dvd drive should recognized operating system disk inserted , tray closed. no intervention on part should required.
trying do, or happening when insert disk ?
maybe (yeah, pointless play guessing games), not have required codecs , maybe doing non-standard procedure ?
