Thread: Starting Browser freeze the screen

hi, damaged somehow installation , repair it.

problem: starting internet browser freeze screen , reboot help.
use firefox deinstall , reinstall. additionally install chrome.
tried start firefox in save modus, starting browser desktop
freeze couldn't shut down pc. doesn't seem problem is
broswer itself.

can fix problem?

meanwhile know bug in configurations.
testing copied /home folder another
ubuntu installation , browser running.
fix old /home because of settings.

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
