Director 12 crashes when opening movie since Hotfix 4

since updating hotfix 4, 90% of .dir movies make director "unexpectdly quit" when try open them, stage appears.

 

i'm running mac os x 10.9.2 (mavericks).

 

i tried reinstall director 12, solved bug, until reapplied hotfix 4 , same thing happens.

 

there's no way revert hotfix 3, , without hotfixes director 12 can't publish ios apps.

 

so, i'm pretty screwed. have wait 6 months until hotfix 5 fixes this?

 

edit : even if don't open movie, director randomly quits after doing anything!

ok think found culprit :

 

it's cast window in list view makes director 12 crash on mac, whenever open movie or try add more couple of cast members.

 

fortunately, going cast window preferences , selecting "thumbnails" , "apply casts" able avoid problem, still hope fixed soon.

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
