Thread: No SSH or Ping 30 seconds after networking restart

hi

ubuntu reachable ssh or ping 30 seconds after /etc/init.d/networking restart

config :
- ubuntu installed on vm on esxi server
- got ubuntu 10.4 tls
- given ip address in /etc/network/interfaces
- right dns set in /etc/resolv.conf

idea?

did find solution posted problem, because facing same issue ubuntu 12.4 installed on vm on esxi server.

in advance.
