When I import (get media) .wmv files, my audio comes with the video, but when I import .mpg files th

when import (get media) .wmv files, audio comes video, when import .mpg files audio not there after import. there audio on .mpg file before import. have tried “file type: supported media” , “file type: mpeg movie .mpg” no audio on clip once import.

what version of premiere elements using , on computer operating system running?

 

from wrote, not seeing audio component imported clip. correct?

 

please download, install, , run free utility named gpsot problem file. interested in status

video name, codec, status

audio name, codec, status

but other information possible good.

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
