Thread: Newly installed Ubuntu boots once, then never again

i managed install ubuntu alongside windows, , booted first time tried it. went , booted windows make sure still worked (it did) , tried boot ubuntu again , got black screen. tried reinstalling livecd, never booted again. can, however, boot if boot in recovery mode , choose "resume".

have make work?

if black screen, video issue. video chip/card?
