Ultimate Rig for Photo & Video
hi all,
first off lets not fluent in computer technology - photography thing might require a few laymans explanations vs specialised tech speak , excuse me if state obvious or ask dumb questions.
need new rig photo (60%), video (30%) , maybe little gaming (10%) - haven't got in pc gaming in number of years (since doom) might take squizz @ what's available these days. don't mind spending bit more hedge bets each way primary purpose photography.
i'm upgrading monitor , thinking nec pa272w want rig support monitor , allow 10-bit color workflow referred in http://www.ronmartblog.com/2011/07/guest-blog-understanding-10-bit-color.html . need ensure graphics card supports this.
i use photoshop, lightroom , bracketed panoramas ptgui software blending 24 shots * 24 mp nikon d600 has been crashing current system (i7-3610qm / 16 gb ram / intel hd 4000).
i trying build awesome system last me several years , fine budget if stupid overkill no noticable gains i'd happy trim costs.
questions -
1) motherboard? board? overkill?
2) graphics card - i've looked @ nvidia quadro 2000 great card photoshop crap gaming i've dropped 1 in has reviews. support 10-bit nec monitor? other recommendations?
3) other comments welcome
cheers, love have advice of specialists.
thanks in advance.

why cooler? see tweakers page - kind of pc use? , note remark coolers:
corsair hydro coolers not give better cooling performance air coolers cooler master or noctua, nor run quieter. more expensive. don't forget air coolers in push-pull configuration have 2 fans, replaced 2 fans on radiator when using corsair hydro. unfortunately, corsair fans pretty noisy, thereby defeating intention of water cooling make things more silent. effectively, 1 replaces 2 fans average noise level of 25 db 2 radiator fans 35 db. if cooling performance better, noise might overlooked, not case. around 4.8 ghz overclock, performance difference between air coolers , corsair hydro negligent. so, if opt corsair hydro coolers, don't better cooling, more noise , spend lot more.
is memory 1.5 v ? 1.60+ v not advisable. kingston hyperx beast 1.60 v , ill-advised. can alternative: g.skill ripjawsz f3
generally nvidia far more popular amd video cards, because of hardware mpe support, proven technology. however, if need 10 bit output, limited quadro k4000 or better k5000, , these carry hefty price premium.
