Illustrator Artboard Size Restrictions

i have project need need huge artboard bigger default size illustrator gives you.

 

we designing huge custom maps client , use illustrator map plugins use stuff, can work within artboard.

 

is there way round this, increase artboard size?  going cause huge problem if cant.

 

it not typical project can export photoshop , scale or print scale map , need work within illustrator size,

 

please advise

you may use file>document setup>size , set custom size (it should in list, maybe (still) @ top).

 

it can go workspace size of 16,383 points, 227.55 inches or 5,779 mm , bit.
