Thread: Windows 7 Backup on Samba Share

dear ubuntu community,

tried perform windows 7 backup onto samba drive. able select drive username , password. after finishing, when windows starts backup error:

the specified network name no longer available. (0x80070040)

using ubuntu 12.04 desktop version , windows 7 professional.

both connected via lan.

here smb.conf

workgroup = workgroup
server string = %h server (samba, ubuntu)

max log size = 1000
syslog = 0
panic action = /usr/share/samba/panic-action %d
unix password sync = yes

pam password change = yes
map guest = bad user
