Thread: acroread not listed for "open with"

this 13.04 standard (unity) desktop.
have adobe reader 9 installed , can use command line acroread. i'd able select via "open with" in nautilus context menu pdf. have impression requires desktop file. found adobereader.desktop in /opt/adobe/reader9/resource/support , tried putting symlink in /usr/local/share/applications file. contents of adobereader.desktop:
[desktop entry]
name=adobe reader 9
mimetype=application/pdf;application/vnd.fdf;application/vnd.adobe.pdx;application/vnd.adobe.xdp+xml;application/vnd.adobe.xfdf;
exec=acroread
type=application
genericname=pdf viewer
terminal=false
icon=adobereader9
caption=pdf viewer
x-kde-startupnotify=false
categories=application;office;viewer;x-red-hat-base;
initialpreference=9

doesn't seem work. still don't see under "open with" if "show other applications". need do? i'm not trying set default application pdfs (i want keep evince default).

add %u end of exec= line in adobereader.desktop, -
