Thread: High gpu temperature after upgrading to 13.04

hi everybody! i've noticed gpu temperature quite high (about 74°c) after upgrading ubuntu 12.10 13.04 (64bit) , fan spins fast. has never happened in 12.10. maybe unity issue? have dell studio, intel i5 , ati mobility radeon hd 4570. i'd solve problem. idea? of you!

edit: i've tried reinstall 12.10 , 12.04 (i had no problem @ them), same problem appears: high fan speed , gpu temp on 70°c!!!! can't find explanation. in addition if switch windows 7 (i have dual boot), problem disappears , goes normal. please me, i'm running out of ideas!

i'm experiencing related problem.
in case fan sped not increase, resulting in overheat... causing pc shutting down abruptely.

looks happened after installing lm-sensor , psensor

i'm running ubuntu studio 13.04
have 2009 toshiba satellite (athlon x264 , ati)

Creative Cloud - Installation Error 205
