Thread: ubuntu 12.04 does not boot (after reinstalling nautilus ?)t
hello all,
sadly, ubuntu (64 bits) not boot correctly on (dell latitude) laptop. can screen can enter login, once typing in information , pressing enter (quasi-subliminal) black screen. login screen. identical if try login guest. here read black screen (which vanishes quasi-instantly, not sure everything):
error: no running sessions found

before shut down ubuntu last time, 2 unusual things may or may not related occurred:
a) not use sftp nautilus connect on server (but ssh , scp terminal, fine)
b) tried fix uninstalling , reinstalling nautilus update manager
2 questions:
1) there hope not have reinstall everything, , if yes, possible recover data (to prevent angry comments: have backups, still know have more 1 copy right now)
2) ' bye' statements in black screen ironical (-_-) ? (sorry, trying bit positive)
help,
laureline
