Premiere Pro CC and AE CC Hanging After Installing OS X 10.9.2

this occuring on 2 machines-- 2008 macpro nvidia quadro 4000 , macbook pro retina nvidia gt650m

 

adobe cc software date.

 

since installing os x 10.9.2 premiere pro cc hang midway through loading plug-ins. @ different point. ae cc hangs @ initializing media core. occurs on both machines. after letting sit while see if loading continue, force quit. force quit freezes computers (both computers) requiring hard power-down restart. on few attempts, ppro open when trying either open existing project or creating new project, app hang. can force quit without hanging system. other times, can force quit ppro ui remains on screen , system unstable, requiring either signing out , signing in same or different user or restart.

 

cuda version 5.5.24. had updated cuda 5.5.48 version 10.9.2 created above symptoms. have downgraded cuda 5.5.24, restarted, problem persists.

 

i on chat adobe tech rep refused escalate case unless hard crashed, rebooted, created new user admin privileges , tried launch ppro again. same issues new user. couldn't restart chat since had frozen hard.

 

other steps have tried based upon various forum entries--

made under language prefs english main language united states (computer) pull down

removed export , import qt plug ins ppro app->contents->plug ins-> common. recommended cs6. didn't rebuild plug ins

uninstalled ppro uninstaller , downloaded new installation creative cloud

trashed prefs

renamed prefs folder in ~user/documents/adobe old allow rebuild

renamed library/application support/common/plug ins/media core/7.0 7.0old

created new admin user , launched new user

 

same behavior on 2 different computers

 

appreciate wisdom users or adobe folks might reading boards

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
