Thread: I think Ubuntu bricked my battery sensors, can you help me sort it out?

i'm having problems @ moment battery sensors: whichever interface use find out how battery power have, imprecise, means computer keeps switching off abruptly while claiming has 20 40% power left. have reinstalled ubuntu (off topic: replaced hard drive more space) , still happens, , on windows too.

happened since installed (and subsequently removed) zram, know, utility compresses stuff in ram act if have more ram.

on bios level? there can it?
distro: ubuntu 12.04.2 lts updates , no modifications

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
