Issues with importing photos in an image sequence!

hi all,

 

just @ work , we're doing rather large time lapse photography project , colleague editing within adobe premiere. after gathering large selection of images decided time have go @ doing first edit. opened premiere , made new project etc. , have made couple of practice runs different pictures opened pictures (file/import) , tried import of pictures can't tick "image sequence", greyed out. know why? assumed due fact importing them off external drive put them on macbook make sure still wouldn't import them. tried import less pictures @ time still no avail.

 

being flat out of ideas thought ask consider experts more knowledge myself hand! in advance can help, being work project eager started possible!

might filename convention stuff... if have filenames have lot of weird characters , no discernable " number" sequence might not recognizing them potential sequence. i'm on  pc , use program called " renamer "... got free think.. off internet.. , works great renaming stuff in folder...

 

what put group of files in specific folder ( maybe temp directory make purpose of renaming files ).. , use renamer on stuff...

 

it's little tricky experiment 1 file know working way expect... ( adding rules , using wildcards , on ).  if post sample of 1 of filenames in sequence may able tell definitively ...

edit.. afterthought.. post 2 filenames think sequential... , way can see how progressing re: numbers, dates, whatever.... , test ( create 2 files in ps using names , see if works import sequence.. , see renamer rules work fix if needs fixing ) ???
