Getting started in Developing extensions for Dreamweaver CC

hi,

i'm looking info on how started developing extensions dw cc. specifically:

 

1. guides, tutorials

2. api reference

 

 

what i'm looking able is, among others:

1. add elements inserting "insert" panel/menu

2. add panels.

3. able drag elements panel design

4. able identify tags in web page special tags. how jquery ui tags identified , have little hovering label

5. able develop specialized property views special tags. how jquery ui tags have special properties, once pressed little hovering label thing.

 

one question answering can - can guides cs5 starting point, , there figure out via extendscript toolkit?

of there later guides can use?

true, adobe documentation on extensions creation slim, if looking @ latest releases. think should origins. first of sdk offers great examples (from 2003):

also there 2 great books: dreamweaver mx extensions laura gutman , building dreamweaver 4 & ultradev 4 extensions tom muck , ray west. believe may read free chapters online in places such safari library or google books.

the books old, have understand , adapt new versions, in essence stays same.

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
