Monitor profile ' Defective' ?

so keep getting message when open photoshop cc. ive contacted benq , sent me zipped file icc profile in it. proceeded ' unfortunately drivers , icc profile compatible windows 7. no drivers available windows 8 model.

 

so im in dilemma, looking @ ? colour showing on screen way off reality or ?

 

 

i have no idea of honest, advice appreciated. thanks.

 

my setup

 

benq gl2750hm

adobe photoshop cc

windows 8.1


click "ignore profile" , "don't show again". throw profile out , use windows default, srgb.

 

the message means says. manufacturers shipping bad profiles common 1 can wonder why can't right - or why bother. it's not benq, samsung, acer, asus, lg , many more. people having problems because of these bad profiles turn here in forum (and lightroom forum) time.

 

the real solution, if want monitor display accurately, create custom profile calibrator. if don't have 1 use srgb now, it's close enough people.

 

the drivers aren't needed either, doesn't more identify monitor model. monitor plug-and-play , works anyway.

NIK SELECTIVE TOOL INTERMITTANT FAILURE.

ref: win7-64 /ps cs6 /google-nik collection.   after working "a time", select brush option in nik plugin, & when image "re-opens" in ps, plugin has selected ps brush tool, & can paint on effect i'd created, selective tool interface fails open, & there's no way apply or discard effect. at point ps "hung", waiting command either apply, or discard brush effect, can't done without selective tool interface; , way out, ctrl/alt/del close photoshop-- & lose work!  (results in ps appscrash result). the selective tool folder contained selectivepalette.8li file, along seltoolinst.cfg (instructional script tool??), , hdrefexpro2.jsx file. nik told me hdrefexpro2.jsx file did not belong there, & delete it, , sent me seltoolinst.cfg file replace existing one; , fixed problem short time! now works awhile, fails.---wont open either brush command, or automate. i check folder, & "something" has placed/re-placed deleted  hdrefex...
