Thread: how to start X via ssh (but not a remote session)?

hi,
have computer @ work has graphics card have written opencl code for. ssh computer run code, however, opencl sdk's (amd's @ least) seem require running x otherwise can't make use of gpu hardware. there way can x running on remote computer, can compile , run opencl code via ssh?

ps. realise start remote x session vnc or don't have knowhow prefer stick ssh if possible.
pps. i'm running 12.04 on both computers.
