hello, i have read here in forun , searched google didn't find solution. many times when start ps cc, start's error dialog in taskbar says "display driver igfx stopped responding." windows has recovered driver". @ pont ps doesn't respond more. have restart laptop , of time ps start. i reinstalled graphics driver, disabled hardware acceleration in chrom, disabled shut down of display. no sucsess. use asus r751l laptop integrated intel hd graphics chip , nvida geforce 740m. problem occurs more or less ps. maybe have hint or tip that sound slike pretty new laptop if has 740m.  running windows 8.1 ?   is onboard graphics disabled?  i'm guessing come standar set such.   where did video card driver from?  should come directly nvidia site sure of latest version. i have been able see smaller ruler marking on vertical , horizontal ruler in ps. now in cs6 see, when enlarging window size or zooming in, rulers in ps6 only show 1/8" markings .... , nothing smaller, 1/32" or smaller.   in going ps cs6 "preferences" there ruler setting inches, pica, etc. mine set on inches ruler.   how smaller ruler markings show on ps cs6? i @ least see 1/32" markings.       any assistance appreciated. i have cs6 using 32bit , have 1/32 when zoom in. hi, have photoshop cs2 windows installed on windows 7 laptop. open photoshop , getting worse. able work fine few days ago if resize window or start paint ``not responding`` , photoshop freezes.   any ideas causing this.thanks.       photoshop memory , image cache cache levels: 6 available ram: 1707 mb maximum used photoshop: 55% (938 mb)   os: windows 7   installed memory (ram): 3.00 gb (2.75 gb useable)   windows task manager says: processes: 73 cpu usage: 63% physical memory: 48%   total: 2814 cached: 1441 available:1440 free: 38 clear out space can on hard drive, , defragment it. photoshop requires lot of contiguous free space on drive scratch files ("ram overflow", put simply). on time, drive fills , gets fragmented.   that said, today's standards laptop severely underpowered. files bigger today when cs2 current. if intend keep using it, regular maintenance required.
