i installed ubuntu 13.04 on usb stick using universal usb installer in windows. worked fine , able boot. however, destroyed windows installation (trying install ubuntu) , don't have working windows system @ home currently. have tried using unetbootin install "ubuntu-13.04-desktop-amd64.iso", however, not boot. can seem files there. download new image in case corrupt made no difference. can install "linuxmint-14.1-mate-dvd-64bit.iso" unetbootin (and manjaro) , boots fine. there special ubuntu 13.04? have tried dd command never gives booting usb. strange, kubuntu-13.04-desktop-amd64.iso installs , boots fine on usb. tried ubuntu-13.04-desktop-amd64.iso again make sure , still fails boot. hi,   i work on dvcpro-hd show (1080i60) , when import jpeg photo stills in sequence, making resizing & animation, good.  when color grade or applying video limiter effect on photo, quality degrades lot (rendered or not).  remove filters , leave photo motion keyframes, quality good.  idea if bug or there workaround?   thank you i don't recall issue ever coming before.   what effects specifically?  have tried others?  gpu acceleration turned on?  if so, try turning off. i upgraded lightroom @ same time switched harddrives. basically, installed lr 5 on new harddrive. opened lr4 catalogue on lr5 , had "update" catalogue. seemed working properly. however, first time have imported memory card , having problems.     i imported , had files put pictures>client sessions>weddings (and wrote in subfolder name). shows in finder that photos are. however, in lightroom creating whole new section. reason isn't "linking" current file structure. see 2014 mclennan-reeser file. under "wedding" on finder.     see how is own separate thing on lightroom (even though if scroll down see wedding folder. have tried drag , drop "wedding" on lr... says exists of course does!  tried right click on 2014 mclennan , "show parent folder", creates new "wedding" folder in lr. why happening??? fixes?   two images below. my first suspicion case-sensitivity issue, i.e. lightroom case-sensitive whereas os (usually) not...

i running lucid 10.4 no windows os @ all. haven't been able install proprietry converter prog. yes,i have purchased icoustic player. have tried play avi videos after re-sizing them 320x240 @ 25 frames winff. have followed sticky , installed medibuntu repo list of sources , enabled partner repo, copy , paste commands terminal , executed it. opened , closed winff , re booted. per sticky. ran winff (full of confidence) , nada .... file format error.... missing other simple use gui direction appreciated. i gave waiting , installed proprietary disk on wife's windows machine....job done. pity though.
