i created sequence in after effects, imported using import after effects composition function in  premiere pro. however, drag timeline in premiere says media offline. i've tried clearing cache , re-linking nothing works. why happening , how can correct it? huge issue!   faq: information should provide when asking question on forum? hi all, have bunch of hard drives in external enclosure, , want them standby after period of time. have xubuntu 12.10 (up-to-date) , open disks application in settings manager, , set every disk in enclosure have standby time of 20 minutes. set 1 of 8 disks standby using command in gui (i hear disk spin down). 25 minutes later, come , check disks hdparm -c /dev/sd* disk spun down still on standby. disks set have timer of 20 minutes have not spun down. disk array raidz2 pool, i'm pretty sure it's not case 7 other disks accessed 1 put on standby not. seems more ubuntu not respecting standby timer setting. tried explicit hdparm -s 240 /dev/sd* , still didn't work. can make system standby drives after designated time? thanks, vandervecken standby , raid (z or not) dangerous combination. if set disks jbod (just bunch of disks) each disk independent , standby should work correctly. if have system...

hey all. have fresh install of 12.10 on htpc running xbmc. i'm running issue though causing bigger issues. when system boots , loads default profile, network takes around additional 30 seconds before comes online. didn't happen prior fresh install - pretty instant , ready system up. problem causing when system boots up, automatically boots xbmc , sees there no network connection, cant see nas server. gives , need close xbmc , re-start program see network. forced wide drive other day , reinstall , issue has presented itself. ideas on how perhaps able ensure network before else? cheers, sapper bump able assist this? after uninstalling adobe air win7 lenovo laptop found on start there error message air required application , needs reloaded. however, downlaoding installation file , running achieves nothing. after first attempt reinstall, received message program appeared not have installed correctly. choosing option reinstall correctly using receommended settings achieved nothing , since trying run installation exe file achieves nothing.   there no record of air installation in list of programs in control panel , neither there record of installation in program filles in windows. not mention of air in registry.   anyone ideas of how install air or wise me on should looking uninstall other programs appear looking air operate? maybe can try reinstalling these program , may install need operate properly. i spent 2 weeks on project organizing in prelude. went open prelude morning , there no project file. happend? has happend else? checked associated folders , there nothing. did find rough cut, it. no raw footage, no project file, nothing. there update adobe have wiped project out? living , have 2 files associated prelude missing too. hi,   there haven't been updates prelude since december. , never forced upgrades.   what location of project? did volumes or driver letters move around?   prelude doesn't have delete function projects or media. remove reference file project, never delete actual media.   are missing other files? have run disk utility verify integrity of hard drive?   happy help, not sure go here yet.   regards, michael More discussions in Adobe Prelude adobe

hi !   i'm experiencing weird bug/behavior while flattening multicam sequence.   here "workflow" :   - create multicam sequence selecting angles , audio in project panel. @ step, cameras in wrong order. - instead of moving tracks in multicam sequence, open in source view, , choose "change cameras" (i'm french, don't konw exact translation function) - edit sequence.   when try flatten it, order of cameras set in source view skipped, , "flatten function" uses track number of sequence replace edit.   before submitting bug report, want know if has experienced problem yet. normal behavior ? specs:  v.12 flash player, firefox v.28.0, win 8.1.  set local storage 0; right/click in black video box , same box here.    i have reinstalled flash player, firefox, did system restore; same thing.    in global settings set 0; couldn't change because couldn't local storage box right/clicking on video box.   so, deleted in global settings, hoping force reinstall, won't reinstall--the video box in fox news stays blank.    the flash function work in other locations using flash, classicalarchives.com.  youtube works fine.  not fox news videos.  there no local storage when right/click.    it did work 3 days ago. the problem fixed.  foxnews' problem.  worked again no visible reason. hi everyone, installed ubuntu server 12.04.2 (32 bits) on macbook2,1 3gb of ram , 80gb disk. chose use entire disk encrypted lvm partitions, single-boot installation. encrypted home folder , selected software installation (openssh, ...). installation completed successfully. did not bless boot partition yet. problem the screen goes black after grub , @ beginning of system startup. boot process seems stop, , hard disk not doing (it's silent). tried use recovery mode , noticed boot interrupted after displaying hid detection message : hid-generic 0003:05ac:1000.0005: input,hidraw4: usb hid v1.11 mouse [hid 05ac:1000] on usb-0000:00:1d.3-1/input1 resetting nvram, pram , smc did not help. removing battery changed nothing. ideas on should server boot ? thanks! hi, after updating 12.04 x64 installation, display monitors switched around. say, have 2 display monitors 1 19 inch run off of onboard gpu , other 21 inch run off pci-x card. both gpu's amd/ati had 21 inch monitor main monitor , 19 inch monitor secondary display, after updating ubuntu today main monitor failed work in other safe graphics mode. reinstalled ati proprietary drivers removing old ones first installing latest 12.4 drivers. (there 12.6 drivers available these beta). how change 21 inch monitor being main/default display? i'm not used catalyst, might have such settings suppose. if have xorg.conf, delete first. hi, have been running ubuntu 12,04 quite time , decided upgrade 13.04. did start upgrade 12.10 had installed before upgrading 13.04 upgrade 12.10 took 2 hours after rebooting system left login screen , not functioning mouse , keyboard. keyboard , mouse microsoft (sorry) 2.4 ghz wireless 1 receiver. added dell usb keyboard , noname mouse still no mouse or keyboard functions. did reading in forums , on internet , did read messages same problems, adviced press shift key , choose earliers kernel. so, rebooted system, did hold down shift in menu there no previous kernel, 3.2.0-36. so, decided choose ubuntu linux 3.2.0-36 generic pae. after booting mouse , keyboard work without problems. in ignorance supposed problem perhaps allready solved in 13.04 decided run upgrade 13.04. same thing happened, no keyboard , no mouse functioning. again, booting shift held down gave me ubuntu 3.2.0-36 generic pae option , again mouse , keyboard work. change grub loader load de...

i bought new macbook pro , installed photoshop cs5 extended , printer driver epson 3880 (both downloaded manufacturer websites). photoshop works fine until try print. crashes every time. not crash when printing lightroom or word. re-downloaded , installed both softwares. still crashing. new mac running maverick osx 10.9.2. help! post crash report , we'll see what's happening. of crashes we've seen in printing due bugs in printer driver. disclosure: i've tried posting question on linux mint forums, folks there weren't able help. given upstream dependency, thought kind people might able help. i'm trying remotely manage filesystem mint 14 mint 12. there's folder gets dumped - logs work, recent downloads, etc, etc, etc, , periodically go through , put in right place. there 4 data partitions mounted on boot. "dumping ground" exists on 1 of them, "the right place" might on 1 of them. i've discovered sshfs, seems ideal solution - can use 2 panes in nemo (the recent nautilus fork) , move files around remote file system. big problem: moving files between mount points on remote filesystem gives "operation not permitted" - ideas? smaller problem: copying files between mount points (the workaround) copies them on network via other machine - there way operation happen "remotely", if did whilst ssh'd box? of course, if has alternativ...
