hola como están? les comento, compré una laptop hace un par de días y venía con win8 instalado con uefi, leí un tuto en internet pero al final no pude hacer andar ambos sistemas por lo que limpié el disco, e instalé win8 de cero particioné el disco en dos para dejar esa partición para ubuntu. todo ok hasta que llegué al punto donde se supone que me tiene que preguntar si lo deseo instalar junto windows 8, eso no apareció, elegí la opción algo mas para hacerlo manualmente pero no me detecta la instalación de windows 8, probé luego con windows 7 en lugar de windows 8 y tampoco me la detecta, me muestra como que el disco está sin particionar. al entrar al setup cuando empecé con esto estaba en uefi y lo cambié legacy para que me dejara bootear desde el pendrive. agradezco si alguien tiene alguna sugerencia para poder instalar ambos sistemas juntos, necesito tener instalado el win porque tengo programas hechos en .net sino podía prescindir de él perfectamente ja ja....

i had reinstall full cs5 package, , had no issues reinstalling indesign, photoshop , illustrator original disks, when insert aa9 pro disk, *appears* download, , i'm able open it, eject disk, program grays out. icon stays in doc, nothing happens when click on -- when check applications folder , click on icon there, error msg says: "the alias “adobe acrobat 9 pro” can’t opened because original item can’t found."   i can't figure out i'm doing wrong. i can't seem find out how fix this. using 1 of default templates provided adobe captivate 7. added "next" button 1 of slides. didn't want button appear until of audio finished. thus, set appear 10 seconds slide. added effect - have nice fade in. yet before fade of button appears see flash of full button - disappears , fade effect takes place normal should , button fades in.   anyone had problem or know how fix it?   i new captivate , working on first project. i getting blink-before-effect issue using captivate 6. happens on buttons effects applied. text caption fade-ins on same slide work fine though. read on forum if project saved on network drive, cause issue saved on local drive , problem still exists. please help! i bought seagate barracuda 3tb disk replace older 2tb disk. copied data 2tb 1 new one. formatted disk ntfs first since want able use windows well. old was 99% full , 13,8 mb/sec transfer rate took on 40 hours copy data. after new disk worked under ubuntu, data fine. when restarted got error complaining missing mbr. weird, thought. switched sata cables ssd, containing dual-boot ubuntu-windows new disk. now, both ubuntu , windows start fine, new disk not mounted in of them. when load disk management both os show disk split in 6 parts: 3,14 gb unallocated 914,50 gb primary 13,74 gb unallocated 867,17 gb primary 249,45 gb unallocated 746,52 gb unallocated edit: noticed disk looks different in ubuntu (the previous list in windows). ubuntu says this: 112 gb free space 871 gb ntfs partition 1 372 gb ntfs partition 2 1,6 tb free space edit 2: when run fdisk -l shows new disk: code: disk /dev/sdc: 3000.6 gb, 3000592982016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 36480...

i attempting load ubuntu, during process, displays black screen filled diamonds ( ♦), followed message stating "file name long". doesn't continue boot, stays on screen. ideas how fix this? also, grub appears when didnt before. in advance ok, if can't fix boot, there anyway pull files hdd onto external drive via livecd? can see files in file browser, wont let me access them due lack of permissions. way around this? how can export premier pro cc sound editor can work on in avid pro tools? having ton of problems making happen. as sound design engineer (after picture locked), typically  receive omf (audio) files editor of audio tracks in nle (i.e. fcp, premiere pro etc.), , reference video file (typically h.264/quicktime file) burnt in time-code.  need export pp, of omf of each track.  if have long "feature film" 100-120 minutes, have them 1 track @ time (or cut film in sections), omf's have 2g limit (but exception not rule).  in pp go file>export>omf... send files along sound guy (with reference video).  when opens omf's in protools, import exact replica's of audio clips have in pp timeline.  also, when exporting omf's please add @ least 5 second handles clips.  should selectable option when exporting...  let me know how goes!!  omf stands (open media framework) , has been around long time, wrapper contains audio clips , works real protools! ...

hi,   ever since updated mavericks, lot of other people, encore 5.1 not open. found solution , encore runs fine on mavericks.   the solution, posted below.   i had steps 1-4.   good luck. hope works well.   encore crashing on launch 1. grab digital rebellion's preference manager (free). 2. trash encore's preferences. 3. empty trash , restart. hi. have no internet connection because of major disagreement dishonest phone company called qwest. current situatioin use free wifi @ library. leaves me 1 difficult problem: have 64-bit amd machines @ home, , carry 32-bit laptop library. updating laptop no problem. manually downloading new software 64-bit machines nightmare because every package download manually needs 3 more supporting packages , libraries, each of needs more packages, need more... know, goes on forever. program dselect solves problem nicely. resolves of dependencies , fetches needed supporting packages. gotcha that, far, works native 32-bit system in laptop. naturally downloads correct 32-bit packages itself. there way put alternate package list (from amd 64-bit machines, /var/cache/apt/* ) somewhere , convince dselect @ list , download 64-bit packages, can use laptop download complete updates , clusters of packages 64-bit amd machines @ home? thank you. ...
