streaming audio player problems.


i grateful if me following problems.

i have developed audio streaming app relies on osmf framework in android , stagevideo / netstream classes in ios (osmf hls agnostic).

the android app, works great except when screen goes dark or when app pushed in background.

when screen goes dark, app takes minute switch between streams. when testing in air simulator , when device screen not dark, app moves next track quickly. why? related fact framerate slows 4 per second when device screen dark?

if app pushed background, audio continues playing, when track complete, player not continue play next track. if bring app foreground, starts playing next track. again, don't understand why case?

i tried setting different rendering modes direct, , cpu. when set direct, app stops playing screen goes dark. in auto , cpu mode, continues play exhibit problems mentioned above. did not try gpu since adobe against doing flex applications.

when testing in ios, app keeps screen lit whole time. design me because have added

 

nativeapplication.nativeapplication.systemidlemode = systemidlemode.keep_awake;

 

keep phone screen going dark. if allow screen go dark, app stops playing. audio stops playing if push app background well. of course, keeping screen lit not ideal because unnecessarily drains battery , distracting when driving @ night. have seen other apps example keep playing audio when screen dark, know possible. suggestions on how keep audio playing when screen goes dark or when app pushed background appreciated.
