hey guys i'm newborn linux user , i'm having issue have seen others have had proprietary drivers amd of late. haven't seen specific problem or solution has worked me. i've googled thing , down , can't find answer thought i'd try posting problem see if had tidbits of advice. start off i'm on ubuntu amd64 12.10, , have hd 4250 igp running in tandem hd 4350 gpu. i'm running them can use 4 of monitors. ubuntu can use 2, , can switch between each gpu. jockey says pc isn't using proprietary hardware , i've tried countless different repositories , terminal tricks try , amd drivers install everytime try tells me there aren't supported cards/hardware in computer. i'm developer , need workspace, , i'd migrate away windows 7 i'm afraid that's not going possible until can driver issue figured out. appreciated. hello, have odd question.  i've worked photoshop 3d bit, have noticed causes considerable lag.  i'm wondering if there way "dumb down" 3d capabilities of photoshop save on computer power, still have access attached uv map , texture.    this i'm trying do...   i want import 3d object uv map attached when click on object, can change texture of object within photoshop.  question - can someway import uv map normal 2d photoshop element texture wrap around object can change texture @ time?  or there sort of way "flatten" 3d object can still swap out textures not able rotate longer?  if i'm able that, think computer resources not taxed don't need rotate or view in 3d space, able have texture wraps around object based on uv map, , able swap out other textures.   anyways, i've tried few different things feel impossible.  thinking of maybe using warp tool, time consuming , cannot seem work smart objects.    any suggestions on figuring out helpful.  th

hello, ubuntu noob here sorry in advance if bit slow. dual boot ubuntu unity on laptop , when first installed ubuntu unity wireless connection fine. recently, however, wireless connection seems connect router fine, after minute don't internet connection anything. still shows connected router , not have no internet connection. if disconnect , reconnect same thing happens; internet connection , disconnected. started after did "shutdown -h now" command (although don't see how should have done wifi) if helps. , changed router uses wpa-psk encryption (since thought encryption might have been problem) , laptop saying using 'wpa & wpa2 personal' well; alas still no internet advice or guidance appreciated moved wireless & networking. i'm running ubuntu 8.10 mythtv system 'production' system, ie don't want upgrade later version 'works'. @ boot i'd call script sends commands on network raspberry pi connected av amp wake , select correct hdmi channel input (from ubuntu 8.10 system). (note have 2 mythv systems on start each 1 send appropriate commands select appropriate hdmi input port on av amp). i've written (python) script run on ubuntu platform , know works (when not run during boot), ie sends correct commands av amp (in particular can see on raspi av amp sleep commands sent , received). however, i've not been able correct av amp wakeup command sent during ubuntu 8.10 boot sequence though know run during /etc/rd.d sequence. guess though script tests , shows eth0 , has ip address no command sent on network. examining syslog seems there network setup processes run after script run suggests network not operational until after user has logged , prevents networ

after extensive trial , error, have found itunes7.5 thru 7.7 seem install best on pc, i'm still prevented downloading music. there appears 2 issues. 1/ itunes says there unknown error (5002) problem itunes store, please try again later. trying again later yields same result. 2/ store front page doesn't show @ all. resolve these issues appreciated! baldrick from i've read, itunes store not work in wine -- period. adobe bridge cs6. hello ubuntu community, let me start general low-down of "materials" have here: windows 7 home edition plot boot manager (because bios not want boot usb) ubuntu 12.10 downloaded straight site. okay, did downloaded universal usb installer put .iso file onto flashdrive , make bootable. downloaded plot boot manager because bios let me boot hdd or cd/dvd drive. let me have dual-booted ubuntu , windows 7 before no problems, don't see i'm doing wrong. okay after iso on usb, restarted computer , booted usb. came opened ubuntu screen says: "try ubuntu" , "install ubuntu". clicked on install ubuntu , gave me 3 options (really 5 let me select 3 of them.): install ubuntu inside of windows 7 replace windows ubuntu also, use custom partions don't have computer technical knowledge, have programming knowledge though. because of this, selected install ubuntu inside of windows. went dos-like screen (outputting doing) showed ubuntu
