i have mpd running on ubuntu server 10.04.4 lts. sends output 2 local audio devices (using module-combine sync them) , 2 other network sinks, windows boxes running pulseaudio 1.1 windows binary. have 3 outputs set in mpd, local combined sink , 2 remote sinks. setup works pretty well, use qmpdclient control playback on server machine, , can send output other rooms in house through network windows boxes. there 1 major problem/annoyance: when have 1 of network outputs enabled in mpd, computer turned off or pulseaudio client shut down whatever reason, other sinks/outputs, including local ones on server, freak out , cause skipping in playback. verbose logging shows buffer underruns, rewinds & such. if disable output in mpd non-existent sink, order returns. significant annoyance. i'm trying educate girlfriend on using mpd setup, issue becoming stumbling block; it's not obvious 1 needs disable output others behave. have tried using http streaming wi

hi, little bit of topic, hoping knowleadgable people can me here. got strange problem when trying access files on linux samba share using nexus 7, running android 4.2.2. share on pogoplug running archlinux , can access xubuntu , iphone fine. howerver, on n7 using es file explorer, can browse directories , can create new files. try access file (read or write) error saying "parameter incorrect" or "cache remote file failed". problem occurs on public shares user shares. shares set writable, , said, reading/writing works fine laptop , iphone. tried other samba clients es file explorer, result same. idea how solve this? there known samba configuration options required or incompatible android? btw, tried browse windows 7 share nexus 7 , works fine. there must specific archlinux samba configuration nexus doesn't like.
