from understand wine doesnt support xbox controllers yet. but, when plugged wired 1 in today tried using in portal 2, , worked 100%. in native steam client can play tf2 xbox controller. play portal 2 in wine 1.4.1 , , when tried using usb xbox controller of buttons worked. left joystick allowed me run around perfectly. reason right joystick (controls looking around) let me left , right, not , down, , couldnt fire portals. (left , right shoulder buttons). question though wine doesnt support xbox controllers yet, 1 worked perfectly, have experience getting working? using default xbox controls in portal 2 options, not problem. it's close working i'm curious. if not, can wait until wine 1.6 apparently have xbox controller support. response! hello. after updating version 13.04, started annoying amd unsupported hardware watermark on corner of screen (right, bottom). started investigate have gone wrong...i have amd a4 cpu , amd radeon hd 6480g. when go "programs , updates" --> "additional drivers", says it's running proprietary driver (fglrx-updates). if check fglrx box or xorg box, watermark not go away. ran catalyst gui , says version 12.9 installed. according amd website, newest version of catalyst cpu 13.4. ubuntu repositories offer fglrx , fglrx-updates on 12.9 version (btw, difference between 2 drivers?!) have idea on how solve issue? should concerned @ watermark warning? i'm not experiencing video problems aware of. can @ least make watermark go away? love using ubuntu, whenever come across problem (driver stuff) feel helpless! lot in advance. having same issue after upgrading today. i'll post if find out

hi, i'm nevio italy. i've bought new macpro , installed new photoshop cc.   i've big problem: when have print image, print preview shows me image different colors (there blue dominant , different brightness).   i try select printer profile or document profile there no way have same image in printer preview window.   how can solve problem? hi everyone, i've been tasked employer setup drupal server redundancy possible. old drupal server got corrupted , hard drive failed. rebuilt new ubuntu server , got up. uber paranoid want mitigate fault possible. know cloud won't stop corruption have backups in place. fault tolerance , scalability. plus if can other uses of these brand new servers using cloud, better. these servers pretty overpowered running drupal alone. linux server choice has been ubuntu, start googling how cluster ubuntu server. lot of things i've read pointing use maas, juju, , openstack. think wires being crossed here or being short circuited. simple question is, continue setup maas, juju, , openstack things become more clearer on i'm doing setup webserver on single ubuntu install? right head exploding sooo new information. currently, got 12.10 server setup maas configured 2 nodes in ready state. right in saying maas configuration done? go here? thing have time play. kno

just lately have come across perplexing problem printing pdf documents.   i error stating because want duplex print paper size i've selected not supported. have not selected odd size of paper--just regular letter size.   i've changed setting tried printing 1 page , document prints rear tray of cannon printer (something didn't indicate either). output 1/10 of entire page wanted printed -- in other words fraction of page , centered in upper middle of page.   i've contacted cannon service techs , cannot figure out problem. instructed me download latest printer driver didn't help. downloaded latest adobe reader same frustrating result.   but, craziest things printing problem can go different computer in household -- 1 has older os , older adobe reader , can duplex print without problems.   the laptop i'm using macbook version 10.7.5. i've tried both reader 9 , reader xi.   any or suggestions apprciated. thanks!! i found answer myself!   when opened pdf documen

"universal usb installer" used put xubuntu on usb drive. 1. disadvantages/risks face using usb drive instead of hd? 2. xubuntu system fill usb drive log files, etc.? 3. not having swap partition matter? computer info: 500w power supply 2gb ram radeon 6750 1) if usb2 slower internal hdd. persistent install not secure. (full install can made secure) persistent install not updateable. (full install updateable , upgradeable) persistent install have max 4gb storage unless persistent partitions used. (full install limited drive size) drive may wear out after several years if used lot. 2) depends on size of drive, persistent install fill if updated, not boot. 3) swap partition used hibernation. not use of space on small drive.

i'm beginning photoshop cs6 , i'm struggling in project should simple i need draw circle within circle within circle within circle etc etc. i need give circle lines different weights , colours , need change colour of fills between lines. imagine if diagram of earth's cross-section. that's i'm going for. i don't want each circle on different layer though, way hectic. i can't figure out how change properties of 1 shape in layer without changing others. it's super frustrating. can explain how this? thanks in advance. you can't.  need have different widths , colors on different layers if you're goin going use shape layers.  other way draw circles path, stroke path, fill on pixel layer.  best keep them on separate layers incase want edit them @ point. gfx:ati 6870hd upon reboot scan settings set default. there way fix it, must not saving settings. possible change default configuration file, if there any? had twice. first time changed setting in catalyst gui inserted code in terminal: code: sudo aticonfig --set-pcs-val=mcil,digitalhdtvdefaultunderscan,0 sudo reboot didn't work... so, un-ticked "use scaling value override"->set scaling option->re-inserted had become lazy now, , remember settings wouldn't save after re-logged in. did that,re-logged, seem saved , didn't change display. preceded reboot, low , behold worked , saved. hope helps. i created animation in flash cc in html5 canvas document , published html , .js file.  wanted bring muse cc.   so, in muse, went object > insert html , pasted in html code flash generated me.  uploaded .js file assets folder.  uploaded business catalyst test , not working.   i know flash generated working, because when open html in browser, animation plays perfectly.  i'm sure it's simple i'm doing wrong.   help? hello everyone, built budget system , decided welcome ubuntu operating system. have installed 12.04 , 12.10 @ least ten times @ point. feel have decent grasp of how ubuntu works now, of work. primary concern: amd catalyst control. hardware: core i3 3220 asrock pro3 z75 8gb ddr-1600 ram xfx radeon 7770 @ 1095ghz have attempted install drivers per wiki , , used methods such this , getting 13.1 beta onto 3.4 kernel. works fine awhile until begin getting system errors , forced purge drivers or reinstall. right now, have 13.1 beta drivers (which worked better , longer released drivers). however, boot black screen - cursor, x - has black border if overscan on again. boot if revert previous kernel, 3.5.2 (i believe), system unresponsive , system error of amdccc (again, believe) pops up. whole thing annoying, has been going on week. runs few reboots, , problems strike again. there can offer guidance or perhaps solution? don't want fork money on microsoft, ubun

i gave ubuntu try, i've decided stick windows 7. did ubuntu install required me download installer , burn disk. during install gave ubuntu 250gb of hd space , windows 7 other 250gb of space. trying google how remove ubuntu computer after manner of installation , use windows 7 disk (my pc not shipped disk, have recovery partition?). don't want lose of stuff on windows 7 partition, want have computer way before having ubuntu. thanks. there easy way this, download gparted, burn cd. boot gparted delete "right click on partician" ubuntu partician , swap space. right click on ntfs partician , "resize/move" . have 500gb windows. delete windows partician , use ubuntu.
