hi all have installed ubuntu server 12.04 64bit on sunfire x4540 server , experience problem during system boot. first provide details installation process. created 1 partition on /dev/sda disk , 1 partition on /dev/sdi disk. both partitions take whole space on disks. next created raid1 array on these 2 partitions (/dev/sda1, /dev/sdi1), created ext3 filesystem on , set mount point "/". carried out these step using partitioning tool included in system installation utility. installation accomplished - in last step installed grub on /dev/sda. problem boot process stops in middle. when turn server on grub executed /dev/sda, correctly loads kernel array, kernel runs using initram disk. messages displayed on screen in 1 moment new messages stop appearing , nothing else happens. when press enter can see switched initram shell (i can see (initram) shell prompt) - can write commands, execute etc. have press ctrl+d continue boot process , system operational af

i new both ubuntu , keepassx 0.4.3. installed keepassx organize passwords , found out auto-type doesn't function properly. when login using auto-type, doesn't enter right username. adds couple of letters or deletes couple of letters. combines username , password in username box. tried make 2 separate entries: 1 username auto-type: {username}{enter} , other password auto-type: {password}{enter} error message saying invalid. have no idea why it's acting way. works when copy , paste or drag , drop info don't have use auto-type. if can somehow make work, thought save me lot of time. know doing wrong? appreciate advise. thank you. hi everyone, i using captivate 7 , experiencing seems bug when try import powerpoint slides have animation effects , publish video html5. i using ppt 2007 , importing slides .pptx files using the import> ppt slides command in captivate.   an example of ppt slide need import this: in slide, there 2 groups, created grouping several objects (lines, shapes etc). 1 group has fade effect applied on it, while other group has diagonal down right movement applied it.   when import slide in captivate, following happens:   if not select high fidelity check box, ppt slide imported static, , no effect shown in html5 video, although effect shown in captivate preview.   if select high fidelity check box, ppt slide imported effect, , original ppt colors, press f3 play slide, or f4 play whole project, or publish video in html5 output, original colors change foam green fill in , black shape outlines. furthermore, text boxes displayed box frame displayed:   original ppt image:     result after cap

so got new machine using play games, run vm's, , develop on , moving these usages machine did plus run server processes, media storage, , other network functionality(which may move of these things third system) issue right have 2 raid 1 arrays on old system [616gb free of 1.36tb](soft raid 1) , [158gb free out of 1.81tb](soft raid 1), [3gb of 83.8gb ssd] boot system , [60gb free of 698gb] single drive on win7 system. have of data, because kept getting drives couple @ time wasn't able start in raid 5 array seems optimal media storage needs(both raid arrays media , file storage). have lot of data, , really don't want attempt collect lot of media, or files, took me years collect. i'm not sure if possible of stuff again. want move win7 on old machine ubuntu server, , have boot off ssd , run raid 5 array 2 2tb drives , 2 1.5tb drives. move 750gb drive on new system act application drive(it has 240gb ssd booting off of). new system running win7(don&#

hallo zusammen, bislang habe ich meine fotos in acdsee 17 verwaltet und mit ps cs2 bearbeitet. jetzt versuche ich, mich mit pse 12 anzufreunden. das, ich meisten in pse 12 vermisse, ist eine übersichtliche präsentation der für mich wichtigsten exif-daten (was in acdsee in der aktuellen version genial gelöst ist - und auch mit der einfachen und erweiterten ansicht in pse 12 für mich persönlich nicht gut umgesetzt wurde). wenn ich es richtig sehe, kann man nach exif-daten in pse 12 nur eine freitextsuche durchführen. kann man hier auch nach bildern mit bestimmten objektiven filtern (ich finde nur eine freitextsuche nach brennweite)? - diese funktion wäre wirklich nützlich... ich benutze fujinon-objektive zur x-serie von fuji. hmm. eigentlich ist pse12 eher wie ps cs2 als wie acdsee. daher zeigt pse12 hier nicht anders oder besser. eigentlich sollte beim pse12 das tool bridge bei sein, das für etwas gedacht ist. es zeigt die exif-daten in etwa wie acdsee.   eine suche nach metadaten ken

a week ago in premiere pro cs6 world. one day updated windows, next day few .mp4 video files opened in premiere pro, played fine well, except fact display has green (sometimes multicolour, solid green block) bars in lower third of screen. see screenshot below.   these same files open/display fine in after effects, photoshop , vlc- , quicktime players. i'd read fromyears ago windows updates causing this, removed 1 of therecent kb's no avail. i did install adobemediaencodertrial_64-6.0.3-mul-adobeupdate and dynamiclinkmediaserverretail-1.0.1-mul-adobeupdate and reverted quicktime 7.6 but nothing makes difference.   in end, formatted c:\, reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 64bit , downloaded/installed 260 updates , reinstalled cs6 (and aforementioned ame , dlms updates , qt7.6) it's still same problem.   also tried exporting (part of) 1 of these files, see if wasn't display problem: exported file same properties original has green bars.   what else can do?   thanks in advanc

hello, couple days have problem skype. when i'm talking somebody, after 5,10 or 30(random) mins hangs up. have problem skype 4.1.0.20 , 2.1.0.81. i'm xubuntu 12.10 64bit. i've tried use emulator , run skype windows(3.8) can't log in. i had untold problems 4.1.0.20 seems since m$ bought skype & released updates, became unusable. installed skype-ubuntu_2.2.0.35-1_i386.deb no runs without issue. doesn't pretty works! removed .skype home directory before re-installation. i'm running ubuntu 12.04 lts 64bit. there isn't 64bit version of skype. i had standalone licence of lr5 installed on mac have subscribed cloud version , want install licensed version on daughters machine.  have downloaded , installed cloud version expecting prompt me licensed version installed did not happen, concerned when install on daughters machine not let me becuase still activated on machine. there no activate/deactivate lightroom, there other adobe products. uninstall lightroom mac , install on daughters machine, using existing serial number. job done!
