No Audio Heard in Premier Pro 5.5 - but is seen

for weird reason when opened pp 5.5 , imported avi can no longer hear audio @ all. other windows audio sounds, music, sound effect , within adobe audition play perfectly.

 

but no audio @ within pp. export out audio other formats, play outside pp - no issues. import exported audio pp , try , hear them -- no sound @ all.

 

it displays , shows audio within audio portion of video correct - cannot hear @ all.

 

gone through every possible audio preferences - , no matter - no audio comes out @ all.

 

everything , still @ install defaults had been using past year within pp.

sound driver http://www.asio4all.com/ may help
