my employer takes publisher pdfs , creates version can view in browser and/or ipad app. received 1 pdf traits i've not seen. whenever try crop pages in combined pdf (yes clicked "all"), tries force cropping apply several page pairs. each of these pages within pairs appear normal individual pages scroll through pdf. thing distinguishing these pairs graphic designer intended them two-page spreads.   could there's setting in acrobat pro x "tells" pages belong each other? cause them not process separately in crop function?   google search didn't turn answer. i can't visualise describing.   you have pdf separate pages; crop pages.   now "it tries force cropping apply several page pairs". surely applies every page, not several? not getting it, can give screen shot? hi guys, have strange situation: long time i've been using script command: code: cp -r ~/source/ ~/insync/google_address/destination/ a few days ago noticed ending source folder inside destination folder, not wanted. modified command to: code: cp -r ~/source/* ~/insync/google_address/destination/ things seemed working nicely. then, decided wanted add folder backup script. wanted backup ~/notes folder insync folder. added this: code: cp -r ~/notes/* ~/insync/google_address/destination/ here weird part: when script ran, contents of ~/notes moved (or copied , deleted from) ~/notes. not understand why. so, googled , found how rsync. code: rsync -r -t -v --progress -s /home/gg/notes /home/gg/insync/google_address/ so far good, in fact thought why not replace of backup cp commands rsync? well, have gotten habit of unhiding hidden files , folders when them up. example: .bash_aliases backed bash_aliases. reason being if

hello dear community, haven't posted while. i'll try short detailed. laptop: acer aspire 5560 sb 6 13 quad core a8 3500m gpu: amd 6620g . came win 7 preinstalled . took gparted, erase recovery. wanted dual boot, laptop uefi , created new disk table, type gpt , installed windows 7 no problem @ all, when tried install ubuntu, did not detected win 7 partitions, tried dmraid -re, nothing changed, way able see partitions partedmagic : ie. fix protected mbr , win 7 installs, after ubuntu installer gets see win 7 partitions, ok installed, went ok, after reboot(which btw didnt go well, because ubuntu hangs on shutdown , reboot, acpi=off acpi=noirq, init 6, init 0 shutdown -h poweroff, etc). when grub showed up. showed ubuntu options. went research, found this. refind . installed updated grub, , started show win7 option, when select it, goes grub. far, have manage do, dual boot gpt uefi install in acer aspire 5560 sb 613 efi boot. btw: think hanging in shutdown ,

i'm using lubuntu 12.10 comes leafpad. if edit text file, no backup created , there doesn't seem obvious way create backups. i'd use text editor can create backups preferably retaining multiple backups. in other words, if edit temp.txt once , save it, latest version temp.txt , backup temp.bak.1. next edit result in temp.bak.2 , on. i'm having hell of time trying lightscribe working on ubuntu box (which wiped windows off of , pc lightscribe drive). followed instructions , installed lightscribe basic software, , application software, , did force architecture, , software runs. can't find lightscribe drive. says can't connect dbus. tried compiling it, , got pretty far, until got cmake error complaining alarm loop function in code. however, during process installed libdbus-dev, have no idea why it's not working. please if can, magazine told me send in cd of band's music , they'd review it. want nice. thanks. does computer recognize lightscribe drive. forget 'lightscribe' moment , put data cd in drive , see if mounts, or if can mount it. if not, problem has solved first. once solved, try following instructions @ https://help.ubuntu.com/community/lightscribe . software have found works lacie (lacie 4l)

in library mode: moving photograph 1 folder creates 2 copies, 1 in destination folder , 1 in originating folder. in grid view, right clicking on discarded photo , choosing delete disk no longer works photo deleted not show in lightroom in windows files still remains on hard drive.     in first few months these 2 features worked no longer respond in same way. tried alt delete , photo removed lightroom not original folder.    is bug or windows problem? found solution corrupt catalog by:      1.  creating new catalogue           a. adding photos           b. deleting photos , moving photos   moving photos between folders worked. right clicking , choosing delete disk in library worked.   hope helps else. hey guys building custom ubuntu distro using ubuntu builder , ubuntu mini remix. have installed thunar file manager. however, in livecd, live-user cannot delete file (however, can delete folder). root user can delete anything. also, have installed gvfs, , gvfs-trash gives me exact same erro when used command line. there intact trash folder under /.local/share sub-folders of 'info' 'files' , 'expunged' , user has ability read , write folder. have tried setting permissions trash folder under /root/.local/share has not worked. there solution this? in thunar, can put address bar , go trash:///? my app set auto orient , auto aspect ratio in app descriptor.  @ point, want disable orienting.  if call:   stage.autoorients=false;   it works portrait if called when in landscape, changes portrait instead of freezing in landscape.  loading default instead of disabling? that’s interesting, , might make sense in way suppose.   you can work around issue setting stage orientation before turned of auto orients. hello, i'm writing here because sitting in tears ai cc issues. iwrote support, after sending them samples (requested them) silence longer time. forums suggestions didnt help.   at first me , collegue had problem saving svgs ais. after saving (all settings good, , not first time, when generate svgs in life) when trying open file there error: "the svg invalid. validate before opening."   after few dozens of tries found trick it. 1) take vector picture ai, 2) paste smart object ps, 3) increase resolution eg 600 dpi 4) copy raster file ai back 5) image trace (hight fidelity photo) 6) save , yay, svg opens.   but many of files prepared way i'm getting error. showed on attached picture. left side traced picture, right svg after reopening (white areas).   sorry can't show image because of nda. i'm going insane, client gets angry, , can nothing   please (beg) !   regards   kate svg files saved reduced accuracy.   your file looks made excessive use of gradients,
