Thread: LightScribe problems

i'm having hell of time trying lightscribe working on ubuntu box (which wiped windows off of , pc lightscribe drive).

followed instructions , installed lightscribe basic software, , application software, , did force architecture, , software runs. can't find lightscribe drive. says can't connect dbus.

tried compiling it, , got pretty far, until got cmake error complaining alarm loop function in code. however, during process installed libdbus-dev, have no idea why it's not working.

please if can, magazine told me send in cd of band's music , they'd review it. want nice.

does computer recognize lightscribe drive. forget 'lightscribe' moment , put data cd in drive , see if mounts, or if can mount it. if not, problem has solved first.
once solved, try following instructions @ https://help.ubuntu.com/community/lightscribe. software have found works lacie (lacie 4l) , instructions installing it. agree getting work can pain. when do, write down did , save know how on system next time. once working nice job of creating monochrome label. use time.
