how can stop xscreen saver asking password in lubuntu? when put laptop in suspend mode, gnome xsreensaver kicks in , wants password open up. if don't set suspend mode, screen turns off via power saving mode after few minutes , turns on no password required. way want it.- - go menu->preferences->screensaver. navigate lock screen after , make sure there no check mark there. out , should go (no password required). if suspend computer still ask password. i running ubuntu 12.04 lts , far have been pleasantly surprised functionality , user friendliness of flavor of linux. unfortunately camera on laptop subpar, previously, on windows 7 employ program called manycam in order adjust brightness , contrast live broadcasting under flash based websites such tinychat, stickam, etc. on os x employ similar program called camtwist. both of these programs work through flash , provide option selection while broadcasting. looking similar program has been developed for, or work within ubuntu 12.04 lts. please keep in mind not looking program serve capture photos , videos filters (programs similar photo booth on os x). have found few this- none of work under flash broadcasting purposes. aditional software information: browser: firefox v.19 (mozilla firefox ubuntu canonical 1.0) linux: linux 3.5.0-25-generic (32-bit) (listed on adobe flash website os) flash version: 11.2.202.273 thank time , help.

hey, quite new ubuntu. have used few times inthe past wanted set media server , ubuntu server meant best, fastest , universal of os's i've looked at. took old pc wasn't being used, removed hdd person got wanted keep encase pc died, put hdd in , give them computer back. not perfect situation best can atm. added free-standing hdd media files on (2 partitions, 1 empty) hp paviliion m1070 computer. when attempt install ubuntu server 12.04.2 lts cd burnt, nothing, complete blank screen. have use secondary drive (dvd-rom) primary disc drive broken , can't open, unplugged it. when go boot menu of mobo , select dvd-rom drive screen comes blank. checked cd on main , boots install, have no idea why won't on old computer. because vga monitor cable plugged gpu (as mobo doesn't have monitor port)? help, wowdude [solved] secondary dvd-rom drive dead. after booting old hdd (xp) drive still

my panp7 has never been terribly reliable after sleep: wireless down after waking, , won't come until reload rtl8192se kernel module. in last week, after installing latest updates, (which had been pending few months), it's become less reliable after sleep. wireless down after waking, , reloading rtl8192se doesn't help. worse, locks after 3 or 4 minutes. lock if don't reload rtl8192se. have clue? hi have desktop computer windows 7 ultimate 64 bit , ubuntu 12.10 64 bit. motherboard asrock 970 extreme 4 http://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/970%20extreme4/ uefi motherboard have hard disk partitioned mbr not gpt. hard disk 1 tb , linux , windows partitions half space each. last night on windows downloading torrent utorrent , before going bed set utorrent shut down computer when download completes. today after woke computer off must mean download completed. booted computer instead of getting grub menu got error code: out of memory aborted. press key exit . guessed torrent download filled hard drive booted parted magic cd http://partedmagic.com delete unneeded files on hard drive , computer boot again. have used parted magic's included clonezilla create images of windows c , linux root partitions. when booted parted magic got error code: syslinux_boot_linux() failed: error 0 linux.c32: boot aborted! please me computer booting correctl
