how after ubuntu makes release system76 provide drivers? seemed work out of box ubuntu 13.04 beta, following exceptions. 1 – bluetooth work work, see device, not connect. function key turn on/off not work. after suspend/resume not work @ all. 2 – mic worked fine unless did suspend/resume, not work @ after resume. i interested in sys76 driver release schedule. testing 13.04 on gazp6, nvidia card. has been quite painful installing 13.04 on ssd, plus problems proprietary driver work properly. 1 out of every 3 times boot machine not boot x , freezes. trackpad not support scrolling without syst76 drivers, , few other glitches, unstable wifi, unreliable suspend, system wise freezes. hard tell if 13.04 beta failures or related proprietary drivers, or lack of sys76 drivers. waiting final release make formal impression. far...not great on machine, holding on production work system (lemur ultra). btw, skype

hello, have following problem: have 2 computers connected same keyboard/mouse/monitor using kwm switch, on windows machine (mostly gaming) , other ubuntu (12.10) use web server , other applications. had 1 problem, work around: when boot ubuntu machine, need have monitor set ubuntu server, otherwise, resolution used default vga 1 (instead of nice 1920x1200). can live (if have soution, though, i'm of course interested). now, however, , no reason can fathom (unfortunately, might have automatic updates, missed), whenever switch monitor windows machine , ubuntu one, ubuntu has apparently detected monitor has disconnected , switches resolution vga. can change enough using settings (once detects monitor back, switches proper resolution), not annoying each time (i use kvm switch easily, not add additional trouble), screws virtual desktops , positioning of windows open on these desktops. there way prevent resolution change happen ? in advance answers, philipp

when using audition cs6 have "drop in" retake on clip. in audition 2 "dropped in" clip stay front above original clip. in cs6 doesn't, if select original clip "drop in" goes back. there way can lock clips not in time in hierarchy? can annoying mix down session find "drop in" has disappeared mix. i think default behaviour - if want clip @ front, have select it, , should stay there, , that's 1 hear in mix. if doesn't, might bug, far i'm aware, works fine. rather idea of 'heirarchy lock' - seems safer option, strictly speaking shouldn't necessary.   i should there's @ least 1 other thing people don't present drop-in arrangements, , that's way nothing gets automatically deleted when overdub track. adobe don't trust know you're doing, , assume always going want 1 deleted... , it's since change rotating heirarchy of clips has come about. ik have odd problem indesign cc. document working on shows totally blank pages. text strings going through pages intact seem invisible. after deleting pages (always spread, or number of spreads) , inserting new ones can restore file linking text in new boxes. there no crash cannot anticipate on problem. @ 1 time sent pdf printer blank pages seemed have been created before making it. these days check pdf blank pages before sending off. **** causes this? when blank pages appear, text jump on them, or text have been on pages gone well? 2 common reasons follows:   a column break(s) or frame break(s) has/have been inserted text stream, causing text jump next available page. happens if use enter key in 10-key pad (column break, or if hold shift, frame break) instead of wide enter key in main keyboard. keep options such frame on particular page small fit text. example, suppose had text frame full, , accidentally moved bottom edge slightly, causing last line jump next frame. if keep options

hi, need advice don't lost in jungle of overcomplicated programming. problem i'm facing following: have robot (more stack of parts , old pc) can connect on wifi. has linuxcnc on it. can start linuxcnc remotely ssh , can use telnet pipe commands script linuxcncrsh: telnet 192.168.1.75 5007 <./scriptforlinuxcncrsh. lets me -at stage- start, jog , stop steppermotor. far good. have sidewinder joystick want use steer robot , maybe control robot arm on robot (i can see joysticks output jstest on /dev/input/js0). doesn't need go via linuxcnc, can go low level commanding parallel port instance. i'm trying different configurations of software controlling hardware on wifi, it's hard me figure out best way go things: instance: have number of shell scriptscontrolling linuxcnc on robot call remotely ssh when python script reads movements on joystick. or pipe python scripts telnet on ssh... or... anyway i'm getting confused. organised (safe?)

is there advantage stayng 12.10 lts typical non-business home user? can upgrade in place keeping config customization etc (excepting workspace launcher button). graphics supprt remain amd radeon a4 apu? struggle getting system run have "concerns". first of all, 12.10 not lts regular release. lts release 12.04. home user can make sense stay lts release. new ubuntu release have reduced support period of 9 month (down 18 month), cause more frequent upgrades. so, if prefer stay longer on 1 release, can make sense stick lts release. in theory, can upgrade every supported release next 1 in place. leave through forum on how successful these attempts are. always, success or failure depends on particular configuration. to able access music stored on 1 ubuntu pc ubuntu pc across lan, software/settings need on: the "server" (xubuntu 12.04) the "client" (ubuntu 13.04) want play via rhythmbox if stored locally. in advance. there many, many ways this. easiest use network file sharing. lots of how-to articles exist stuff. search * nfs * cifs * samba * sshfs basically, want "mount" portion of remote storage (where music stored) on client machine. after that, local machine able "see" music , can play it. option setup media server on "server" machine , playback "client" on client machine. again, lots , lots of ways accomplish this. use gnump3 music streaming server myself. music player support http streaming can handle web browser front-end. or setup dlna server handle music, videos, , photos. lots of these exist too. mediatomb, minidlna, ps3mediaserver ... pick
