Thread: Making my 12.04 distrubution like new

i did project involving lot of messy installs. after manually undoing evil have done realize have broken lot of dependencies , instead of manually slaving on each one, i'd 'go in time', before messed installation. how can this?

first have more specific on de using.
gnome
gnome shell
unity
kde
xfce
etc....
first id try this
sudo apt-get -f install

if doesnt work
prob can purge , reinstall it.
sudo apt-get purge kde-desktop
sudo apt-get install kde-desktop
